Candidates will need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and good at communicating. Our client’s services include a wide range of technologies and industries, therefore a strong background in industrial automation is required, as well as an appetite for gaining knowledge and new skills. 
The role;
Control Systems Engineer will report directly to the Operations Director. 
Key responsibilities;
Your key roles and responsibilities will include: • Specify, configure and test programmable industrial control and information systems   • Prepare design specifications, network architectures and test procedures  • Undertake assessments of client systems and procedures against best practice  • Support existing installations and advise on expansions  Work effectively with other team members 

To be successful, applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for developing effective, maintainable solutions based on ‘open’ technologies. Understand the principles of: databases, networks, virtual machines, PLC, SCADA and distributed control systems.     Preferably candidates will have, or be working towards, professional registration with a recognised institution. 
Technical skills / Experience;
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject • Several years proven experience designing process control and/or safety systems  • Keen interest and aptitude for software and application development  • Proficient in desktop computer packages and operating systems  • Excellent organisational and communication skills  • Comfortable interfacing with client personnel at all levels  • Enthusiasm and the ability to learn quick
